FLYRS Summer Camp is coming! This June, your 7-14-year-old can spend a fun-filled week riding their mountain bike, improving their confidence and skills on trails, playing cycle-themed games, and engaging in STEAM activities related to biking. For our full-day camps, formal camp activities begin at 8:30am and end at 4pm, and each day will include 2-4 hours of riding, and 1-2 specific skills that will be developed. The week will also include a bike maintenance workshop and a trail stewardship workshop.

Each camp is one full week. FLYRS campers can be dropped off at the camp location anytime between 8-8:30am, and they can be picked up anytime between 4-4:30pm for the full day camps. The half day campers can be dropped off at the camp location anytime between 8:30-9:00am, and picked up between 12:30-1:00pm. Only children that will be 7 years old by June 10 are able to participate. Due to camp structure and schedule, we cannot accommodate younger children. Campers will be divided into two groups based on age (7 through 10 or 11, and 11 or 12 through 14 year olds).

The full-day camp is $199 per child for the full week, and each additional sibling is $179 plus one free FLYRS shirt. The half-day camp is $120 per child for the full week, and each additional sibling is $105 plus one free FLYRS shirt.

Camp registration does not include a FLYRS shirt, and they are not mandatory, but if you would like to purchase one, they are $15 per shirt. Shirts are short sleeved, polyester, brightly colored athletic shirts with the FLYRS logo on the front and back. Although a FLYRS shirt is not mandatory for summer camp, it’s super helpful if your child wears a brightly colored shirt for visibility on the trail.

Each camper should bring the following with them every day:

  • Bike in proper working order
  • Properly fitting helmet
  • Appropriate clothing (layers, raincoat) for being outside all day
  • Lunch (we will have a large cooler to keep lunches in)
  • Two additional snacks
  • Two water bottles filled with water
  • Sunscreen
  • A way to carry water while riding (i.e. either a water bottle holder on their bike or a hydration pack that they can wear)
